Five Simple Goals... Before 2014

Elsie from A Beautiful Mess started this Goal Challenge and encouraged her readers to join in.  I thought this was a great idea.  The rules are simple- pick easy goals, focus on the action not the result.  Be sure that they are things that will be fun/ add meaning to your life.  I came up with these five.  They are totally attainable but will help keep me focused over the next two months.

I love setting goals- but the daily work to attain them is something that I need to improve on.  I like this challenge because these goals are simple and will be fun.

1- getting out of the house with Jonas in the stroller is already something we do often- doing this daily will benefit both of us.

2- making bread is something I have wanted to do for so long.  I am going to try this crock-pot method- kind of scary/ exciting...

3-no brainer- cute baby = lots of pictures- but I want to document more of our daily living- not just special events.

4- I already have my seeds!  I haven't planted from seeds yet- should be interesting...

5- this will be fun-  we need some time for just the two of us- the focus will be dates that are inexpensive or no cost- hoping to come up with some creative nights out.

Be sure to let me know if you decide to come up with some goals of your own!!

It's Here...

I am officially a stay at home momma.  I have dreamed of this for so long.  I can't believe it really is happening.  I am home- with my baby.  It is wonderful... and crazy.

I feel like I have started a new job- but more than a job.  It is so so much like starting a new job... it is awkward- it is exciting.  I don't have a rhythm yet- I don't know how things work.  There is so much I am learning- we both are.  I am learning how to structure the day.   Learning how to occupy this busy boy when he is awake and how to use my time wisely when he is napping.  How to balance being out of the house running errands and resting at home.  He is learning new activities like finger painting, being patient while his meal is being prepared- how to play on his own.

I am so so happy and grateful to have this opportunity to spend so much time with J.  I love every chaotic and peaceful minute of it.

I am still working- I have some projects up and coming and am building up my
Vintage Shop . Nights and weekends I will be working on this and a few other creative pursuits.

Yay for babies and Yay for dreams that can come true!
