1. Enjoying the Park on the first cold day of the season.
2. Imported Berries from places still warm.
3. Jonas just before he put an entire hand full of bark in his mouth- scaring me to death.
Days are finally feeling cool and people on our street are putting up lights like they do every year. The house across the street is always gaudy and bright and has music playing all night to correspond with the decor. Every year it annoys me for some reason- it's tacky and always there in your face. But this year is different. I started to think of how much Jonas will love looking at this house- when we are sneaking out to get hot chocolate or leaving to visit the inlaws.
These days have been sweet. I'm feeling more sure footed being here at home with him. Things are getting easier and we are settling into routines. There are piles of laundry and dishes most days- but I am slowly harnessing all of this. Learning to make our home easy and free- to make it work for us. Enjoying slow long days- play, eat, change diaper, walk, walk, grocery shop, sleep train. Enjoying the chaos- the tears- the giggles- the strong will- the love that is so heavy it hurts. Lately, Lately- things are sweet.
